Bausch & Lomb is renown in hand lens manufacturing. The Triplet Hand Lens incorporate three separate lenses, bonded together to form a compound lens to provide one sharp, very distinct magnified image without distortion; even under 14 and 20 power magnification.
The only thing to be aware of is the size of the lens. Against the generic brands, the B&L lenses are smaller. For example, 10x = 16mm, 14x = 12.5mm and 20x = 8mm - this is the lens aperture, not the diameter of the entire unit. Although it comes down to personal preference, we've had customers who didn't realise that the lens sizes were smaller until they acquire them, so we like to advise this in advance.
The generic brands we carry are also of great quality - very popular due to their larger lens aperture and cost effectiveness. Our HLECO-10 & HLECO-20 are the most popular models, but do refer to the table below for the whole range and the lens aperture of each.
All hand lenses come with a free lanyard!
Note: The hand lens are sometimes referred to as "Jewelers Loupes".
