Brunton compasses have been in the market since 1894 and are made in the USA. Let's start with the simplest model. Brunton TruArc 10 Compass Explorers can depend on this high precision, mirrorless baseplate compass. A full set of navigation features and romer scales offer seamless GPS integration. In case you are more familiar with the Suunto range of compasses, the closest equivalent would be the Suunto M3. It's essentially a combination of the Brunton Compro Transit and Brunton TruArc 15 Compass, but a lighter version. With the leveling bubble and hinge clinometer on the Geo Lite, it can take measurements such as strike and dip, dip and dip direction, and trend and plunge, which the more expensive Brunton transits can do. Whereas the Suunto MC-2 is a navigational compass, similar to Brunton TruArc 15, the Geo Lite also has a protractor printed onto the baseplate which is specifically used for mapping geologic data onto topo maps. Finally, the Suunto MC-2 lacks a bubble level, which both Brunton models come with as standard, meaning no geologic measurements can be taken with the Suunto model. Brunton TruArc 15 Compass This mirrored baseplate compass offers professional features like an internal vial inclinometer and lid inclinometer that is ideal for advanced navigation, search & rescue, or scientific field work. It's a navigational compass, pretty much like the Suunto MC-2. Specifications: Dimensions: 4” x 2.5” x 0.6” | 10.16 x 6.3 x 1.5cm Weight: 3.2 oz | 91 g Resolution: 1˚ Resolution Features: TruArc™ Global Needle tilts up to 20˚ for balanced use world wide Tool-free declination adjustment is simple and fast to orient magnetic north to true north Meridian lines on vial assist during pre-trip planning when aligning with map grid lines Inch/millimeter scales for accurate and effective map work Brunton EverNorth Magnet resists demagnetization over time Magnified readout provides highest degree of accuracy without compromising readability Dual azimuth ring includes reverse azimuth Sighting mirror and sighting line integrated into the cover. The RocX brand is essentially a general purpose spray paint that has rapidly increased in popularity over the last few years, becoming one of the market leading brands. Traditionally, this paint may be referred to as Spot Marking Paint. It's used for many general spray marking applications on the ground, as it's solely an 'upside down' spraying aerosol paint. For mine site layout, marking trenches, 'dig-blocks', perimeters and even general surveying of drill patterns or areas. It comes in 350g cans supplied in boxes of 12, in solid and fluoro colours.
The trend towards Machine Learning is gaining momentum. Without a consistent, high quality image library being built up now, you could be behind the 8 ball when your project adopts it! In a connected world, digitizing your imagery and making it accessible anywhere in the world is becoming the norm. If you've got light duty workers that you are wondering how to gainfully employ, the Discoverer Automatic RC Chip Photography Station is perfect! It takes 1min & 10sec to capture an entire 20-compartment chip tray and an operator can easily complete 50 trays per hour. How much value could this offer to your project? Included in Package Mains Powered LED Light Ring Adapter Ring to suit EOS Canon Camera Remote Trigger Cable to suit EOS Canon Camera Geobank Mobile Profile (Only relevant if you have an Geobank Mobile/Micromine data collection subscription) Camera is Not Included as standard. Can be supplied separately if required. FAQs What camera can I use? Personally we found Canon 90D with a 100mm macro lens is optimal and best bang for $$$, however pretty much any camera can be used providing it has a remote trigger function and use connectivity. The frame is adjustable to allow for different camera and lens combinations. The current camera mount suits the typical Canon DLSR cameras... but if you have something significantly different we can supply a different camera mount to suit. (Specify upon order) What other software can I use for the data collection? Imago or GeoBank Mobile are generally used, but happy to help research other software to ensure compatibility, just ask the team.
The main difference with the Discoverer® S5 Recycled Plastic Core Tray is that it's shorter with overall length being 1m and internal core capacity of 92cm. Some prefer a shorter length in order to reach the far end when logging over the length of the tray. This eliminates the need for turning the tray on the racking. As standard and equivalent to the Discoverer S3 & Discoverer S4, this tray is suitable for use on roller racking due to its flat bottom design. The flat bottom ensures smooth movement on roller racking and ball transfer tables in any direction or angle, without disturbing the core samples in the tray. When you are pulling the tray along logging tables or lifting trays onto vehicles, getting a decent grip on a fully loaded tray is important. The ergonomic handles enable this. Over the years the Discoverer range of trays has been manufactured using more plastic, which may add a few extra grams to the empty weight, but makes for a strong, rigid tray when filled with core. The S5 is our strongest yet, designed to hold its shape when ratchet strapped down to the back of the truck or ute to travel to the core shed. Perfectly suited to work in with your site ESG strategy, the entire Discoverer range is made of Australian recycled kerbside plastic. Product Pallet (W x L x H) QTY on Pallet Weight in Tray Weight per Pallet (Incl Pallet) NQ S5 1070x1160x2400 123 2.3 290 HQ S5 1070x1160x2400 102 2.45 270 PQ S5 1070x1160x2400 75 2.7 220 Protect every tray from the elements. The Discoverer S5 Core Tray Lid is made from a single-piece molded recycled plastic with integrated clips that hold it firmly on the tray. The design allows every core tray to be sealed with its own individual lid, and then stacked on top of each other stably. Previous models only allowed a lid to be clipped on the tray at the top of the stack. Now, you might be asking: Does a Recycled Plastic Core Tray last as long as a Virgin Plastic Core Tray? The answer: Tried. Tested. Proven. When Discoverer® made the switch to manufacturing the Core Trays from repurposed Australian Kerbside Recycling, Dynamics needed assurance that this product would last just as long as our original Virgin Plastic Tray that has been proven in the elements since 1993. Following a robust QC Testing Process, by Australia's pre-eminent NATA & ISO Accredited Plastics Lab ExcelPlas, Discoverer® is the only Core Tray on the global market that has undergone this rigorous independent testing. By using Discoverer®, you're looking after the Earth while drilling the Earth. Absolute Peace of Mind Guaranteed.

Milwaukee 18V Battery Collar Cutter
Gone are the days of having to store highly flammable petrol on-site with this battery-operated Collar Cutter! For many sites it may be required here and there, but undoubtedly something that is better avoided whenever possible. This is something the Dynamics R&D team has custom-built for the industry, and we decided to start with the Milwaukee because it's arguably the best power tool on the market. KCGM Testimonial "Light weight construction, shaft can be separated into two halves for easy storage and transport, considerably quieter, simple to use, less vibration, safer as no more trigger locking on (chainsaw massacre style), no heat or fumes from the exhaust, no more storage of flammable material at site or on the back of the work vehicle, minimal servicing required. I had one technician use the collar cutter for the first time in her career, and notably the cut was perfect once finished (how many attempts does it usually take before you master a perfect cut?). As long as the operator lets the blade do the work, is more patient and doesn't completely send the blade all the way through the PVC into the soil/overburden, it does perform very well. I personally cut 3 of the 6 and had a nice controlled perfect cut each time. Battery life doesn't concern me." Jamie McPolin, Field Coordinator, KCGM Note: Since Jamie trialed the market very first prototype unit in July 2020, the shaft has been substantially upgraded. Using the 18V/12Ah, clients are achieving 15-20 collars on a fully charged battery. Roy Hill Testimonial "I am pleased to let you know we are happy with the performance of the Milwaukee collar cutter, it seems to be a good alternative to the petrol-powered tool." The Core Orientation Logging Trolley is built to make core orientation of up to 9m or 18m worth of diamond core quicker and more ergonomically friendly. 9m is for users that want to orientate 9m core, whereas 18m model will accommodate 3 core barrels worth of core on 1 single rack. The unit is flat pack style, so can be assembled and disassembled whether transporting it across the world or moving it from project to project. As it's made from an aluminium extrusion, not only is it robust and will last the distance in the core shed, but it's also lightweight (20kg) enabling it to be easily lifted from rack to rack if necessary. Aluminium is typically difficult to weld together, and can warp the material, whereas this 'no weld' unit ensures everything is straight and true along its length. The 9m core capacity model is 1.5m in length with 6 tiers. The 18m core capacity model is 3m in length with 6 tiers. FAQ's Does this Orientation Trolley suit different width of roller racking? Yes, the unit is customised to suit any width of roller racking, this is one of the main benefits of this system. Can the product be used on existing roller racking? Yes, no special roller racking system is needed. All that is required is some pictures of your existing roller racking and sizes and we'll ensure it's made to suit. We can even remove the wheels and make it suit A-Frames and old drill rod set-up for the smaller explorers.

You are able to feed core trays straight through the opening in one end of the container from the core shed feed line, have the core cut, and fed back out the rear. This means that Geologists and Field Techs in the core shed don't have to put up with the noise, dust and dirt of the Auto Core Saw operating in the open shed, or in a tin shed next door. For those conducting green field exploration who have a steady drilling program, these are the perfect option. Especially when you are moving around the country and want to take your core cutting facility with you, these are portable, easy to relocate, and safe to manoeuvre around. Operators love the air curtain stopping the flies from harassing the core cutter! We stock these units for rapid turnaround in Perth, Kalgoorlie and Gympie. As standard, each Core Cutting Container comes with: Corewise Auto Core Saw Corewise Water Recirculation Tank Roller Racking - Entry Racks in the door and Exit Racks out the rear Split system air conditioner Internal Lighting Anti Fatigue Matting Personnel Door in Side of Container 3 Phase Power Sockets PVC Air Curtains Customisation Options If you have certain customisations that you would like to add, we are more than happy to accommodate your needs. At times we've fitted acoustic paneling to the walls and ceiling to reduce the acoustic fatigue of the operator, change the position of the doors and added windows etc. Discoverer Customised Facility Example

Manual Specific Gravity/Bulk Density Weighing Station
When you give up on the 'backyard' style of trying to weigh bulk density (or relative density) in core over the dust bin, this could be your next upgrade. Many Exploration Geologists talk about Specific Gravity. Industry thought leaders, are saying it should be fundamentally understood as Bulk Density. This takes into account mining bulk dry or wet tonnes, including cavities, voids, porosity etc. So however you term it, this is an easy way of achieving the measurements! The entire unit is constructed from aluminium and the cradle is made from stainless steel, so built to last. Complete with the rigid weighing arm construction means the scale settle time will be massively sped up. This is supplied is a complete ready-to-go solution: Scales, Aluminium Water Bath Reservoir & Stainless Steel Core Holding Cradle. Setup and get measuring within minutes. Check out this explainer video on how you can perform your own SG readings on site, in your own time. Read this article to understand exactly how this weighing station works along with the explanation as to why measuring specific gravity is important in Geology.
These clay drill hole survey markers are the solution for when spray paints or survey stakes aren't working on site, especially when the spray paint is fading or the ground is too hard for staking. Simply mark up your survey or grid pattern by placing these on the ground for a high visible mark. Standard Eco Clay Targets Each marker weighs 105grams and are supplied in boxes of 150, for a total box weight 16kg. They are 110mm in diameter and 25mm high. If there is a requirement to write on the markers there is a flat area in the centre which is 50mm in diameter. These survey markers are biodegradable. Colours Options: Fluoro Pink, Fluoro Orange, Fluoro Yellow, White and Fluoro Lime. Note: These can get easily damaged in freight if not packed onto a pallet, therefore we supply in MOQ amounts of 26 boxes at a time to ensure they get to site without breakages. Max in 1 pallet is 65 boxes (1 tonne). Battue Clay Targets These are slightly more expensive than the standard eco markers, and the only reason why miners may use these is because they want a larger 'flat area' in the centre to write on. They are supplied in boxes of 234. The diameter is the flat area is 80mm opposed to 50mm, but overall the marker is 108mm in diameter and 8mm high. These aren't biodegradable like the Eco Markers and only come in Fluoro Orange. Note: These can get easily damaged in freight if not packed onto a pallet, therefore we supply in MOQ amounts of 13 boxes (more per box than Eco) at a time to ensure they get to site without breakages. The images above show the 'type of shape' (there may be slight variations) of the Standard Eco and Battue Targets you can expect to receive. The image are meant to feature the colour options; they are not a representation of the shape.
The Discoverer® S4 Recycled Plastic Core Tray is the world’s smartest core tray. Built for core photography and core scanning technology, it’s designed with advanced features that will take your core storage to a completely different level! Has Tru Identiti™ stencil in-built on the core tray for a painless markup process. Works perfectly with the Imago geological photography software. When you take and save core photos, Imago reads the stenciled info and assigns it to the corresponding database on your computer. See it in action below: “We made the decision to switch [to Discoverer S4] for the purpose of better photos. The camera frame they supplied us sits perfectly flush around the circumference of two Discoverer trays, enabling us for a nice square on photo every time. The trays are larger, which is beneficial for us because the more core we can fit in a tray, the less trays we have to use. The trays seem to be a lot more durable than our previous trays which means they last longer and can stay in circulation longer.” - Geological Services Supervisor, Newmont Other Benefits of the Discoverer S4 Recycled Plastic Core Tray: Flat bottom. The patented flat bottom ensures smooth movement on roller racking and ball transfer tables in any direction or angle, without disturbing the core samples in the tray. Ergonomic grip bar. The 360° continuous grip bar makes handling so much easier. Whether pulling the tray along logging tables or lifting trays onto vehicles, you get a solid grip on any side of the tray. Stable stacking. The trays stack perfectly on top of each other without the tray above touching the core in the tray below, protecting your valuable core. Integral strength. The patented interlocking bracing between rows gives rigidity and strength through the entire length of the tray. Drainage holes. Both ends of the tray have drainage holes to keep your core dry and remain in good condition even in storage. Improved core logging. The bold Start indicator gives clarity to drillers and reduces potential errors, and the ID tag holders are moulded into front and sides of the tray for a permanent record of contents. All core trays in the Discoverer range are now made of recycled plastic Recent recycling technologies have made it possible for recycled plastic to be as robust as virgin plastic. This is also in line with Dynamics’ efforts to manufacture more sustainable products and support geologists and fieldies’ corporate social responsibility programs. Discoverer® Core Trays are manufactured in Australia and have been used by geologists worldwide since 1993. Its many unique features come from years of extensive development which has led to Discoverer® Core Trays becoming the industry standard for core logging, core storage and transportation. It is widely regarded as the best plastic core tray/core box, thanks to its strength and durability. Discoverer® Core Trays can be used in extreme weather situations, hot or cold due to its ability to withstand harsh environmental elements. "The Discoverer® S3 Core Tray's flat bottom makes for ease of handling especially on the roller racking at any direction or angle, much more friendly to handle overall. The main benefit of this was the core doesn’t move, disturbing our core orientation, so the logging time is greatly reduced and eliminates logging errors. 360 degree grip bar gives variance when tray handling in difficult, sticky situations. The amount of drainage holes help the wet core dry quickly, especially when the core is stored over time which saves the life of the core for future reference. The plastic core blocks stay where they are put and don’t move or bounce around." - Core Yard Supervisor, Aurelia Metals Here’s why you need the Plastic Discoverer® 'Flat Bottom' S3 Core Trays/Core Boxes: 1. Roller racking friendly. Core trays which don't run smoothly or bump on roller racking are difficult to work with and disturb the core. The patented unique flat bottom structure has been developed to ensure smooth movement on roller racking and ball transfer tables in any direction or at any angle, without disturbing the valuable core samples inside the tray. 2. Stable stacking. The unique stacking design means that the trays stack perfectly on top of each other without the tray above touching the core in the tray below. All Discoverer® S3 trays have the same footprint so you can stack the different sized trays (NQ, HQ, PQ) on top of each other when changing the core barrel size within a drill hole. 3. Extra channel height. When stacking core trays containing fragmented, protrusive core, there is a need to allow enough clearance between the core and the tray stacked on top. The Discoverer® 'Flat Bottom' S3 Core Trays/Core Boxes have increased channel height to maximise the stability of trays even with fragmented core. 4. Ergonomic grip bar. From any angle, from any side and to suit every single natural lifting position for any user, the 360° continuous grip bar makes the heavy lift simple. Whether pulling the tray along roller racking or lifting trays onto the vehicle, you can get a grip on every side of the tray with absolute ease. The grip bar is generously sized to suit even XL hands, and especially moulded for comfort, for both male and female geologists. 5. Clip-in core markers. Clip-in core markers are designed to optimise the use of the tray. The markers are colour-coded to match the trays and the top surface is etched, allowing you to record notes. 6. No logging errors. The bold start indicator gives clarity to drillers, reducing potential errors when logging the core. 7. Drainage holes. There are drainage holes at both ends to help your core dry out and remain stored in premium condition. 8. Indelible record. Built-in ID tag holders are now moulded into both the front and the side of the trays. These provide a permanent record of tray contents. 9. Integral strength. The patented interlocking bracing between tray rows ensures rigidity and strength through the entire length of the tray increases the longevity of the product in any tough mining environment. 10. Transportation stability. Unique Discoverer® Locking Links give superior stability when valuable pallets of core are moved around, whilst also eliminating the need for metal strapping. 11. Protection from the elements. Lids further protect your core integrity from the elements. They are manufactured from a durable UV plastic designed to last for extreme periods under the sun. 12. One-metre core capacity. Keeping core logging practices consistent and easy for the geologist means it is important to fit one metre of core in each row of your core trays. The Discoverer® S3 has a one-metre capacity in each row, to ensure that core logging is easier and that you use fewer trays in comparison with shorter trays. Generally we stock standard components, so can have your lean and efficient new core shed up and running within a matter of 1-2 weeks. Large or customer projects may be subject to a longer lead time, and will be advised at time of order. FAQ: How many rollers do you need per metre? As standard we suggest putting rollers every 75mm; however, it’s largely dependent on which way you log the core and move the trays along. If the trays are only going to be logged and moved along parallel with racking then you can 'get away with' putting the rollers at 150mm centres. If you plan on moving the trays “sideways” along the racking (long side of the tray leading), then it’s recommended that you have the rollers at 75mm. Additional rollers can be easily retrofitted. FAQ: How many support legs do you need per section? We suggest at every 3m straight section join when the trays will be moved parallel with the racks. However if you plan on moving trays sideways, due to the weight per metre of rack, it's highly recommended to have an additional support leg in the centre of every 3m section. See our blog on How to achieve a world-class core shed workflow within the most basic of facilities -------------------------- For customers keen to plan out what's possible if their core shed, you may find a list of standard components below. Typically our most popular core shed size is the 600mm width rollers, as this offers the flexibility to run your core trays lengthways or sideways without becoming a WHS risk. However, if the budget is tight and you'd like to look at the 400mm option, you can expect this system to typically cost between 5-10% less than 600mm system. 4C Plastic Discoverer® 'Flat Bottom' Series 3 Core Trays
The Discoverer® Series 3, two-row 4C Size (100mm) Plastic Core Trays are perfect for large and heavy diamond core extracted in a typical coal exploration project. We've also noticed hard rock clients drilling 100mm core for bulk metallurgical sampling & using metal core trays. Now you can get OH&S compliant with these plastic core trays now available. In collaboration with BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA), we've developed and released this tray to the market as the safest and user-friendly option, meeting all their strict criteria. Gone are the days of using bulky and dangerous metal core trays for this type of drill program. The plastic used in this core tray means it doesn't heat up like a metal tray in the hot sun, and there are no sharp edges, eliminating cuts and LTI's caused by using metal trays. The Discoverer® Series 3 is designed with a unique base that would roll along smoothly on roller racking and multi-directional transfer tables. It also has a continuous grip bar running right around the tray, so it is easier to lift from your natural lifting position and more OHS-friendly. Don't miss out on the other benefits this tray provides: Stable Stacking. The unique stacking design means that the trays stack perfectly on top of each other without the tray above touching the core in the tray below. You only need to get a lid for the tray on top. Note that this particular model of core tray can only be supplied with a metal lid. No Logging Errors. Bold Start Indicator gives clarity to drillers, reducing potential errors when logging the core. Drainage Holes. Drainage Holes at both ends, helping your core to dry out and remain in premium condition when stored. Indelible Record. Built-in ID tag holders are now moulded into both the front and the side of the trays. These provide a permanent record of tray contents. Integral Strength. The patented interlocking bracing between tray rows ensures rigidity and strength through the whole length of the tray and increases the longevity of the product in the tough mining environment. 1050mm Core Capacity. Keeping core logging practices consistent and easy for the geologist means it's important to fit 1m of core in each row of your core trays, as well as your core foam (as required) into the extra 50mm at the ends of the tray. 4C Series 3 OD: 1120L x 320W x 125mmH Channel Diameter: 110mm Core Capacity: 2 metres Colour: Grey Weight: 2.5kgs Pallet Qty: 64
specific gravity, automatic sg station, auto sg station, sg weighing machine, auto sg, automatic sg, bulk density, sg measurements
Discoverer® Automatic Specific Gravity Weighing (SG) Station
Do you struggle to accurately, quickly and consistently measure the specific gravity in your core samples? Many times Geologists & Field Techs have asked us; 'There must be a solution to achieve this, especially with high volumes of core being processed?' So the journey towards innovating, developing and building an Automatic Specific Gravity (SG) Weighing Station began! So maybe you are used to a Manual SG station? Whether in a stainless steel tank, or as simple as using the site wheelie bin - most of us have been there when it comes to improvising! The real question is how much time are you waiting for the scale to settle and how accurate is your reading after settlement? Our customers have reported this can be up to 1 minute or longer for each reading - we invite you to do the physical test yourself! We'd like to submit to you, if you no longer had to wait any prolonged period of 'settling' time and could guarantee accuracy up to 2 decimals places within 2-3 seconds what impact what that have on your site financial efficiency and save in your time? Or maybe you don't do SG measurements in any volume now because it's always been that little bit too hard? If you could achieve this with absolutely simplicity what impact could that have on the value of the data you could gain out of your hard earned core samples? They cost enough to extract we'd submit to you it makes sense to gather as much data as physically possible from what you have. "We use an automatic SG station and I must say it’s the most efficient set up for SG’s that I’ve ever used in my 8 years in the industry. The scales settle quickly and it’s very user friendly. Well worth paying for to gain the extra efficiency with this task that can often be tedious." - Independence Nova Pty Ltd So how does it work? Firstly the basket weight is zeroed out on the scales. The heavy duty stainless steel basket is then loaded with up to 1.4 metres of core sample. The basket is then loaded onto the bottom rack which weights the dry core on the scales above it and an 'in-air' measurement is taken of the dry core. Following this, the basket is lowered into the water reservoir for a 'in-water' measurement. No need to move the basket from the top rack to the bottom rack, it's all measured from the bottom rack to stop shoulder injuries of moving a fully loaded basket. The accuracy of the reading taken in water is determined by the controlled ability to mechanically lower the basket into the water virtually eliminating scale settlement time and 'water slosh'. Secondly keeping the reservoir at a constant water level is achieved by the water being fed continuously into the main tank reservoir by the pump from the secondary water tank. This ensure the sample is measured in the same volume of water and same depth under the water every single time - critical if accuracy is important. The self leveling water outlet in the corner of the main tank then maintains the water level at a constant, regardless of what weight is lowered into the main tank. The unit is OH&S friendly, with the whole movement control of the unit coming from the wired control switch that is fitted with a dead man switch. The instant the operator takes their finger from the button, the unit will stop. The whole unit being subject to a wet environment is built from a stainless steel construction, which ensures the longevity of the unit that is built to last in the mining environment for years. Like any accurate performing equipment, to ensure the accuracy is not compromised and that the moving parts don't foul up, especially the rails in which the lowering weighing table operates on, the operator must keep the unit dust-free and clean. An enclosed, dust free environment just next door to the core shed is ideal. We have built and seen operations with a roller racking in-feed straight from the core shed into an enclosed modified shipping container, where the operator is in a comfortable environment weighing the core, and then an out-feed back into the core shed for the processed core trays. Talk to one of our Geological Products Specialists next time you are in contact! To allow for extra working bench top, the unit has keyholes cut in both sides of the machine on the legs, which means that you are able to fit the Heavy Duty Stainless Steel shelf to either the left-hand or right-hand side of the weighing station, dependent on what suits the space you have on-site. The standard unit comes with one shelf, but an addition shelf can be supplied upon request if you'd like to have a working bench top on either side of the weighing unit. What's Included - Stainless Steel Weighing Station Unit - Weighing Scales CBK 16 - 16kg Capacity x 0.5g Readability. Pan Size: 225x275mm (Capable of accuracy to 4 decimal places) - Heavy Duty Stainless Steel shelf x 1 - Power board for operating Scales, Water Pump & Actuator Technical Specifications Water Pump, Actuator & Scales are powered by an standard 10amp Plug Built in Australia Maintenance This is an extremely low maintenance unit. ProFab® Superior Pre-Numbered & Barcoded Drawstring Calico Bags
Our speciality ProFab® geological sample bags are made of high stitch count calico, equipped with a naturally polished drawstring. They are printed with a water-resistant, and insect- and mildew-proof sequential printed number on the front, in your specified alphanumeric configuration. Then we supply the barcode tag, which is resistant to weather, heat, tear and water, and can be printed in any barcode format to suit your specific system. This is either stapled or sown into the bag seam, and corresponds with the printed number on the front. Barcode Specifications - We customise to suit you! Our customers usually find that a standard 75mmH x 80mmW barcode ticket works for them. However any reasonable size barcode can be produced; just specify what you need. If your requirement is time-bound, we can staple the barcodes to the seam of the bag using heavy-duty stainless steel staples. If timing is not critical, we can sew the barcodes into the seam of the bags in our overseas manufacturing plant and pack them into our containers of stock. Lead times are typically 4-6 months, dependent on the time of year, but if you'd like to have bulk stock produced for your forward planned programs this is possible. For example, customers have ordered the upcoming year's requirements in July or August and get them in January of the following year, with enough stock to cover them for the year. If you prefer to clearly see the printed numbers, the standard print size we offer is a large 45mm high print. "I would like to thank you and your team for the continuous support your company has provided us. Since converting to the calico bags, we have not had any issues. The bags are holding up to the conditions we encounter here in the tropics, and we are finding them durable during transport to the lab. The barcode system and ticketing system we have developed over time suit our operation requirements. The lab has also reported success with the quality of the new bags. The tickets, barcode and bag printing have all been standing up to this seasons' drilling program." - Exploration Supervisor, South 32 Mining Designed and manufactured exclusively by Dynamics in consultation with experts in the field as a premium product for use in the harsh Australian outback. Since 1993, Discoverer has continuously produced the highest quality products, and our Diamond Blades are no exception. The new and improved Discoverer 'Sound Dampened' Diamond Core Blades, using innovative technology, are cutting more metres than ever before. KCGM (Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines) has just recorded 1028.8m core cut out of a Discoverer Sound Dampened Diamond Blade! Traditionally, sound dampened blades cut less than a standard blade by the nature of the product and technology needed to make them sound dampened, but with the Discoverer brand you can expect similar metres. These are made specifically for the mineral core industry. They may be the most expensive unit core blade in the market, but they have been proven time and again as a premium blade that lasts longer and cuts faster, that It's highly likely to be the lowest cost per metre blade. "The Discoverer Green 12" core cutting blade is performing extremely well, cutting 800-1000 metres of core per blade. Compare this to the blades we had been using, an average of 500-600 metres per blade. We also had problems with the blade losing its tension, causing it to buckle and being no good for use. We had a core saw that was cutting the core in a 60/40 split (not 50/50) and had sent the saw back for repairs on three occasions with nothing being found wrong with it, so we have been unable to use this core saw. I tried one of Dynamics green 12" blades on this saw and it has been cutting perfectly ever since, with no deviation (exact 50/50 split down the centre)." - Field Logistics Coordinator, Northern Star Resources The Extreme Hard Black Sound Dampened Blade was introduced to the range in Mid 2022, as an alternative for cutting extremely hard rock sections of the core (silica rich banded ironstone, jasperlite formations, chertz). KCGM mine experienced less 'blade wander' or glaze with this blade. However this is designed like a soft compound car tyre - You will be able to corner really well but you won't get the mileage as the standard blades - it's really for the extremely hard patches of core only, not entire lengths of changing composition core. It's more like a 300 to 400m Arbor (Centre Hole) is 25.4mm on all blades Suitable for any brand of core saw, automatic or manual Available in 12" (300mm) and 14" (350mm) - 12" are used for automatic core saws, while either 12" or 14" can be used on manual core saws. Stocked in our Perth, Kalgoorlie, Mt Isa, Dubbo and Gympie warehouses. As rock properties vary from location to location, please specify rock type on placement of order, and the team will assist in ensuring you get the best blade. Otherwise we've produced this handy guide for you to easily match up the rock type with the blade you may require.

Download the full instruction manual here.
The bent shaft petrol PVC collar cutter is a revolutionary way of cutting off the top section of waste PVC piping from your drill hole. It's a great alternative to the old manual collar cutter, as it makes rehabilitation of drill holes much easier and quicker. This Diamond Blade PVC Drill Collar Cutter was designed to aid with the secure plugging of PVC collared drill holes below ground level. Features: Easy to use Fast operation technique Lightweight Powerful 25cc 4-stroke motor How it works: The Drill Collar Cutter Blade is inserted into the PVC-lined drill hole to a depth of approximately 400mm below surface, where the collar is then cut. The excess collar remaining above the cut is then removed. The concrete or plastic conical hole plug is then inserted into the hole to obtain a snug fit against the cut PVC collar, and the hole is then backfilled with low permeability material, which provides an additional plug. The backfilled material is mounded above the drill hole to prevent water ponding in the area of the drill hole.

Kenometer Core Orientation Tool - Alpha & Beta
THE ORIGINAL GEOLOGIST'S TOOL FOR CORE ORIENTATION The most user-friendly device for the measurement of alpha and beta angles in core samples, the Kenometer will save you time in core analysis while still providing you with accurate readings. This Australian-designed geological tool made from anodised aluminum makes drill core orientation measurements fast and precise. The aluminum proves to give strength whilst being lightweight - perfect for field use. The tools measurement markings are laser-etched meaning that even after years of use, the Kenometer will still be easy to read. Kenometer vs. Goniometer: The 4 Advantages of the Kenometer We supply both so you can choose between the two, but here are the reasons the Kenometer is the preferred tool by most geologists: 1. Permanent markings ensuring reliability The laser etching process during manufacture of the Kenometer ensures the markings are permanent, and can never be 'rubbed off'. The goniometer has its markings in ink on plastic, meaning they aren’t likely to remain visible in the field in comparison to the physical etchings on the Kenometer. The laser etching will remain easy to read even after many years of tough field use - this is a tool for life. 2. Tough anodised aluminum body The aluminum body of the Kenometer gives the tool a fantastic strength-to-weight ratio, while the goniometer’s plastic construction is likely to suffer in field drops or in transit. The anodized coating is hard, durable, will never peel, and, under normal conditions, will never wear. The purpose of anodizing is to form a layer of aluminum oxide that will protect the aluminum beneath it. The aluminum oxide layer has much higher corrosion and abrasion resistance than aluminum. 3. Built to fit the core shape The Kenometer is made in NQ2 and HQ sizes, specifically contoured to the core shapes. For this reason, its protractor measurements on the side are more accurate as they are closer to the original curve of the core than in the goniometer. 4. One process, two measurements design The Kenometer was designed to take both alpha (structure) and beta (rotational) measurements simultaneously. Once the core is properly aligned in the tool, the user can take both the alpha and beta angles at the same time. Product Features: Anodised alloy body for brilliant strength & durability in the field Ellipses on the back of the body allow quick measurements of the core structure (alpha angle) Graduations on the head allow for easy reading of rotation angle (beta angle) Laser-etched markings for precise measurements Kits available to convert HQ to HQ3 & NQ2 to NQ or NQ3. Click this to see how these work: Installing Shims Instruction Manual For more info on the differences between the Kenometer and the Goniometer, watch this video.
The Discoverer® Goniometer is a quick reference core orientation tool, designed to simply measure Alpha & Beta angles and lineations within wireline core structures. Its hardwearing and lightweight design makes logging core a breeze when compared to traditional protractors. On the sides of the Goniometer is a protractor in both blue and red, which enable easy identification against the varied rock colours. These are used for measuring the Alpha angles of lineations within the core sample. Aligning the lineation with the maximum angle of the protractor provides the Alpha angle to within 5 degrees. With its compact size, it can be easily shipped around the world. For a fraction of the cost of traditional logging devices, the Goniometer is your ultimate core logging instrument and a 'must-have' tool in any geologist's kit. The Discoverer® Goniometer is the rebrand of the original Ezy-Logger Quick Reference Goniometer.

FAQs about the KT-10 & the KT-20 Q1. How often should I calibrate my Magnetic Susceptibility/Conductivity Meter? A2. All units are factory calibrated before shipping to you. This means that as long as the meter does not suffer from serious physical damage (i.e. the measuring coil gets broken), periodic calibration should not be required. If you are in doubt about your unit's accuracy, you can easily calibrate it for magnetic susceptibility measurements yourself. Option 1 - Purchase a set of magnetic susceptibility calibration pads for ultimate peace of mind. Option 2 - Use a rock with a flat surface and thickness of at least 2 inches, which is homogeneous in its magnetic susceptibility. Draw a circle on the rock to make sure you always take the measurement at the same location, same angle and ideally same temperature (if possible). Q2. What’s the main difference between the KT-10 and KT-20? A2. The KT-10 is a handheld magnetic susceptibility and conductivity meter, which can be used to solely measure magnetic susceptibility or conductivity, or to measure both simultaneously. The KT-10 has a 10 kHz operating frequency and comes with a fixed sensor available in either a circular or rectangular design. The KT-20 is a modular physical property measuring system with interchangeable sensors, which can be used to solely measure magnetic susceptibility or conductivity, to measure both simultaneously, and to measure IP/resistivity and density. A variety of interchangeable sensors are available in different shapes Click here for more FAQs.

The book is set up to allow users to make soil colour evaluations in the field quickly and easily. The soil classification system that has been developed around the Munsell colour system is an established and accepted process to assign a soil type. This classification system has been used in Australia for more than 55 years to aid in the management and stewardship of natural resources. Through the use of the Munsell Soil Colour Charts, practitioners from a wide range of professions can share reliable and consistent information about the colour of soils at a particular site with colleagues anywhere around the world. The following pages are included in the Soil Colour Charts: Munsell 10R Soil Chart Munsell 10YR Soil Chart Munsell 2.5Y Soil Chart Munsell 2.5YR Soil Chart Munsell 5Y Soil Chart Munsell 5YR Soil Chart Munsell 7.5YR Soil 10Y - 5GY Colours - Olive greens Soil Chart Gley 1 2 (2 - Separate Charts) Soil Charts Munsell 5R Individual Soil Chart Munsell 7.5R Individual Soil Chart "New" White Page, 7.5R, 10YR, 2.5Y The pages within the Munsell Charts are cleanable and can be exposed to the standard environmental conditions that are met in the field. This does not mean that the book will be able to withstand all of the environmental conditions that it is exposed to in the field. For the cleaning of the coloured pages, please make sure not to use a cleaning agent or materials that are coarse in nature. These materials could either damage the surface of the colour chips, or cause the colour chips to start to delaminate from the pages. Sand Grain Chart This chart is essential for all geologists. It allows classification of rock and sand grains based on size and provides a point of reference when working out in the field. It allows the geologist to classify based on a variety of properties, such as size and shape, grain sorting, roundness, and sphericity of a sample. The chart consists of several measurement indicators, including: a sphericity/roundness measuring chart printed examples of well-sorted and poorly-sorted grain samples in fine, medium, and coarse ranges four actual grain samples illustrating angular, sub-angular, sub-rounded, and rounded shapes six grain size samples: silt, very fine sand, fine sand, medium sand, coarse sand, and very coarse sand measurement limits for granules, pebbles, cobbles and boulders (in order of size)
This geologist's tool is designed in the shape of a pencil with pocket clip, a small magnet at the tip, and a spring wire clip at the center. When the 'pencil' is held by this wire clip, it pivots on the center holder and the magnet at the tip is attracted to magnetic minerals present in a rock specimen that is brought into its proximity. Note: Although this tool is named a 'pencil', it's actually not a pencil nor a writing instrument. The name is solely derived from the shape and look of the tool.

Discoverer® Core Guides / Core Boats for Automatic Core Saws
For use in conjunction with all automatic core saws, Dynamics has created the Discoverer® Core Guides / Core Boats - there's the V-Core Holder for competent core, and the Broken Core Guide for brittle or damaged core. Made to endure the tough, rigorous mining environment One-piece, mild steel, end plate handles - impossible to bend or change shape Heavy-duty hinges to cope with constant opening and closing all day PQ & LTK60/NQ3 core guide sizes are both unique sizes in the market We have committed to manufacturing the Discoverer® Core Guides, also known as Core Boats, as a superior product to anything else out in the market right now. Users say they outlast other similar products by 3-4 times. Invest smart! "We have recently swapped to the Discoverer Core Boats and have had a very positive outcome with the boat lasting a lot longer than the previous ones we had been using. I have now been using the Discoverer Core Boat for just over 4 weeks and it still looks like new, with no damage at all. Previously I was buying new boats every 4 weeks!" - Field Logistics Coordinator, Northern Star Resources The PQ Broken Core Guide, being an 85mm core, has a larger overall width, so this can only be used with a Corewise Auto Core Saw that has a 110mm feed-in channel. The Almonte Core Saw feed-in channel is only 90mm, so it won't accommodate this fully enclosed plastic broken core guide. The LTK60/NQ3 core guide will fit LTK60 (44mm) core and NQ3 (45.1mm) core in the same core carrier due to the sizing being so similar. PQ can also be supplied as Open Top Core Guide, which is used when cutting half core into quarters, so the lids aren’t an obstruction to the cutting blade. For the more competent core, a few mine sites will just use the V-Core Holder, and sometimes it just comes down to personal preference. The V-Core Holder can also be used to cut competent PQ Core on an Almonte Core Saw, but if you are drilling a reasonable amount of PQ then we'd highly recommend trialing the Corewise with our Broken Core Guides for an extra level of safety. Did you know you can trial the Corewise on your site before you commit to purchase! Talk to us for further details: customerservice@dynamicsgex.com.au or 1800 105 584. Discoverer Half Core Guides / Core Boats Half Core Guide - NQ2 - Orange Half Core Guide - HQ - Light Blue These half core guides have all the features that standard core guides have, tough, durable, heavy-duty, but with square lids on top for cutting half cores into quarters. Note: These Broken Core Guides are also referred to as Core Boats, Core Cutting Boats, Core Carriers, Flip Top Core Carrier and Core Holders. Regardless of the name we can provide them to be suitable for both the Almonte and the Corewise Core Saws. Just advise which brand you have upon ordering.
The Discoverer® Manual Core Saw is an Australian-made machine with a long history of durability and reliability across many mine and exploration sites all around the world. Comes in 3 Models: The Series 1 and 2 Core Saw are identical machines apart from the Series 1 having detachable folding legs, perfect when portability is key. We've had clients take the Series 1 when trekking through remote jungle or bush land to reach their drill site. It's not light at 93kg, but the inbuilt handles on the sides of the saw help with the lift and can be achieved by two people. The Series 2 is the same build size as the Series 1 with fixed solid legs, designed as more of a longer term saw for operating at a small exploration program. The Series 3 is the 'beast' of this core saw range, only supplied with fixed solid legs and perfect for mine sites or larger exploration projects where more power is needed and extended periods of core cutting are to take place. Engine Options: Series 1 Core Saw The Series 1 can be supplied with a single phase, 3-phase or petrol engine depending on your requirements. For this machine, the single phase is the most popular and the one we stock in Perth and Queensland for immediate dispatch for those needing a machine yesterday! Series 2 Core Saw The Series 2 is typically supplied with a single phase engine too, and is also stocked in Perth and Queensland. We rarely supply this with a petrol or 3-phase engine, but it is possible and can be subject to a longer lead time depending on current production. Series 3 Core Saw The Series 3 also can be supplied with a single phase, 3-phase or petrol engine depending on your requirements. As this is our largest machine in the range, the 3-phase is the way most people like to go. Being our bestseller from the entire range, we endeavor to always have this in stock in Perth and Queensland. Series 2 vs. Series 3 vs. Operator Comparison Note: Series 1, not shown, is the same overall size as Series 2 on the left, but comes with detachable legs that make it more portable. The Discoverer is a purpose-built Diamond Core Cutting Saw, designed for continuous cutting for hours a day. Through proven experience, we reserve the right to refuse to sell you any other manual core saw, as the hours of engine failures and maintenance issues with brick saws have proven to us we'd rather not supply them. Please be aware the sole purpose of us noting this is to take away the headache from prospective geos & fieldies looking for a saw, and not to put in doubt the credibility of brick saw brands - if you were cutting bricks we'd recommend them as fit for purpose every time. We trust this helps with your decision making process.
We endeavour to hold key replacement parts for our Manual Core Saws in stock to ensure your project gets back up and running as quickly as possible should you need repairs. Below are the 3 most requested parts: V-Core Holder (VHOLD) Hold your core securely in place and keep your fingers clear of the blade with the OHS-friendly V-Core Holder that simply bolts to the core cutting trolley. Cutting Deck Trolley (SCT1 or SCT3) The Cutting Deck Trolley comes with heavy-duty aluminum, tilt-lock wheels which help to have a more accurate and stable cut, whilst keeping fingers away from close proximate of the blade protecting the user from shear hazards or limb injury. Cutting Trolley Wheels (REPROLA) The heavy-duty aluminum wheels for the Cutting Deck Trolley can also be supplied separately. Note: Every new Manual Core Saw we supply comes with all of these items, but we do offer them as replacement parts as required.
Core cutting can be dirty and wet work, but this 90x120cm long PVC apron would provide great protection. Water-resistant - perfect for splash back spray and dirt when cutting core Gives good abrasion resistance and offers some chemical resistance to the core saw operator The main reason these are so popular is they're lightweight but tough and durable. If you're sick of washing your workwear these could be your answer, whilst saving your cleaning bills!
hand lens, magnifier, bausch & lomb, jewelers loupes
Triplet Hand Lens
Bausch & Lomb is renown in hand lens manufacturing. The Triplet Hand Lens incorporate three separate lenses, bonded together to form a compound lens to provide one sharp, very distinct magnified image without distortion; even under 14 and 20 power magnification. The only thing to be aware of is the size of the lens. Against the generic brands, the B&L lenses are smaller. For example, 10x = 16mm, 14x = 12.5mm and 20x = 8mm - this is the lens aperture, not the diameter of the entire unit. Although it comes down to personal preference, we've had customers who didn't realise that the lens sizes were smaller until they acquire them, so we like to advise this in advance. The generic brands we carry are also of great quality - very popular due to their larger lens aperture and cost effectiveness. Our HLECO-10 & HLECO-20 are the most popular models, but do refer to the table below for the whole range and the lens aperture of each. All hand lenses come with a free lanyard! Note: The hand lens are sometimes referred to as "Jewelers Loupes".
This especially developed geologist's compass meets all your demands at a favourable price! Technical Specifications: Pendular clinometer (90°- 0°- 90°) for dip measurement The initial oscillation of the needle can be accelerated by arresting Circular level, mirror, front and rear sight 0°-360°, scale value 1° (adjustable circle graduation and needle), vertical circle graduation 5°, engraved exterior scale Housing: Aluminum Size: 80 x 65 x 20 mm Weight: ca. 235 g (leather pouch included) Applications: Can be used for route surveying, for the survey of natural and artificial openings above and below ground Surveying of open pit or underground workings Transfer of geological data onto maps and plans Staking out of claims and sites General field-geological work Special structural-geological, deposit-tectonic, and engineering-geological rock mechanical work Rock work as well as moderate-accuracy surveying
Brunton Transit International Waterproof Compasses - 5008, 5010 & 5012
The Brunton Pocket Transit was first patented in 1894 by David Brunton (a geologist) and continues to be an industry leading compass and measuring tool used by geologists, foresters, surveyors and archaeologists. We supply the 3 main compasses that Brunton manufacture: The Geo Pocket Transit, The Com-Pro, and the newest addition to the range (and potentially revolutionary) Axis Transit. Let's start with the two traditional compasses. Brunton 5010 Geo Pocket Transit International Waterproof Compass (Azimuth 0-360) The Geo Pocket Transit Compass, incorporates feedback from professionals to make this the ultimate compass. The solid aluminum, waterproof Geo Transit contains a fast, magnetic north-seeking, rare-earth magnet, balanced on a sapphire jewel bearing for quick measurements. The most noticeable feature is the hinge inclinometer, accurate to +/- 2°. This feature allows simultaneous dip and dip direction measurements, reducing the number of measurements required in the field. An innovative needle design can be locked or unlocked. Brunton 5008 Com-Pro International Pocket Transit Compass (Azimuth 0-360) With a body made of composite materials, the Com-Pro is a lighter, more affordable alternative to 5010. Like the 5010, it incorporates a cast NdFeB rare-earth magnet, precisely balanced on a sapphire bearing - resulting in a powerful magnet, which quickly seeks magnetic north and permits fast readings. Identical Features between the 5008 and the 5010: Single NdFeB magnet resists demagnetization better than any other type of magnet Vertical angle measurements to +/- 90° or 100% grade Percent grade scale with increments of 5% Induction dampened needle for quick, accurate readings Sapphire jewel bearing allows for smooth needle movement Magnetic declination adjustment allows for east or west declination settings to +/- 180° Precision aligned mirror with convenient see-through sighting capability Short and long sights for increased accuracy when sighting azimuth or vertical angles O-rings make it waterproof for increased reliability Leather case included Unique 5010 Features: Azimuth accuracy +/- 1/2° with 1° graduations Vertical angle accuracy +/- 1/2° with 1° graduations and 10 minute vernier Aluminum billet body assembly makes the GEO nearly indestructible Adjustable needle locking mechanism Hinge clinometer with 1° increments for 1/2° readable dip measurements Two long-level bubbles on the outside of the aluminum housing for no guess leveling from the sides or the bottom Overall dimensions: 96x71x33mm Weight: 362g Unique 5008 Features: Composite body material has less thermal retention Overall dimensions: 81x71x33mm Weight: 161g Now for the newest Brunton compass on the market. Brunton 5012 Axis Pocket Transit Compass (Azimuth 0-360) The Axis was invented by geologists for geologists and features a significant new twist on the pocket transit - The main hinge rotates 360 degrees, making the Axis the only transit that can measure strike and dip, and trend and plunge, simultaneously - on any surface. that is designed especially for easier geological measurements with every angle and every direction. 5012 Features: Innovative dual-axis hollow hinge allows for intuitive, efficient and accurate measurements of planes, lines, bearings and vertical angles. Only one measurement configuration is needed for strike & dip, trend & plunge, bearing & vertical angle, increasing efficiency and accuracy. Compass North is parallel to the main hinge axis, making the Axis the only transit able to measure strike and dip concurrently, through contact or sighting methods, Novel lid protractor and rotation around minor axis enable accurate, simultaneous measurement of trend & plunge and any surface, including overhangs. Inclinometer Accuracy: ± ½ with 1° graduations Dip Angle Accuracy: ± ½ with 2° graduations Dimensions (closed): 100mmx 71mm x 30mm Weight: 354g This compass gets pre-balanced to the different zones around the world. To make it easy, here's a link to the Zones List. Generally we stock at all times the Axis balanced for Australia (095), but can easily supply any zone compass you need. We also have the instruction manual available for download here. Here's the Comparison Chart of the Brunton Transit Compasses:
There's only two versions of the Freiberg and they're essentially the same, save that one has a mirror and one doesn't, with the mirror version being the preferred Freiberg by geos. The 'Freiberger' is the original structural geology compass and was built according to the specifications of a famous geologist known as Dr. Eberhard Clar. Freiberger is the company that took the contract to make the first ever geologist's compass and they’ve been making them the same way in Germany ever since. This compass design allows a geologist to take a reading of direction and azimuth of dip at the same time. Features: Permanent locking of the magnetic system - can be released during measurement by depressing the push-button and should be used for shortening the setting time Lockable inclinometer for inclination measurements of high accuracy Operates -30oC - +50oC Ground magnetic needle placed on edge Easy adjustment of the graduated circle - for each measuring technique and for setting declination values of any magnitude Colour coding on circle of altitude and magnetic needle (according to Clar) - unambiguous determination of the direction of dip of geological formations Circular spirit level for leveling, lateral glass tube for measurement at points of difficult access Dip measuring plate Horizontal level bubble for measuring where access is difficult Circular level bubble for simple leveling Dust and water resistant Applications: Can be used for route surveying, for the survey of natural and artificial openings above and below ground Surveying of open pit or underground workings Transfer of geological data onto maps and plans Staking out of claims and sites General field-geological work Special structural-geological, deposit-tectonic, and engineering-geological rock mechanical work Rock work as well as moderate-accuracy surveying Chemical Composition: Si: 0.7-1.3 Fe: 0.50 Cu: 0.10 Mn: 0.40-1.0 Mg: 0.6-1.2 Cr: 0.25 Ni: 0 Zn: 0 Ubrige: 0.15 Ti: 0.10 Al: Balance For other structural geology compasses, you may want to check out the following options: The Krant The Breithaupt Gekom Basic The Brunton 5010 Geo Pocket Transit

Most people have heard of the renown Artline brand of permanent markers, whether it be the Artline 70, Artline 90 or the Artline 17 and Artline 19's. They are a great brand and a very popular part of our range. Artline 70 & 90 (Bullet & Chisel Tip respectively) are xylene-free, quick drying and general purpose permanent markers. Available in black, blue & red Ink. Artline 17 & 19 (Bullet & Chisel Tip respectively) have a higher grade of ink for use in more 'industrial' situations and the inclusion of xylene content in the pen means they are able to be used on greasy surfaces. These are all permanent markers and only available in black ink. Note: Depending on where you live in Australia, you might refer to these thick permanent marker pens as a Nikko, Sharpie or Texta. Whatever you call them, this is what you're chasing!
Paint markers give you a liquid permanent mark suitable for marking on wood, plastics, metals, rubber, concrete, stone, glass, ceramics and cardboard - pretty much anything apart from damp wood. Artline Paint Pens have been the renowned industry leading brand for years offering high performance with a xylene-free, fast dry formula.

Hardwood Survey Stakes are such a large and popular part of our range, that in 2016 we actually formed a partnership with our own mill so we could source the most durable, hardwood stakes, known for their longevity and ease of use. Hardwood Stakes are less susceptible to white ants and are much stronger when being driven into the ground. Dynamics only sources raw material from mills known for their quality control, and by partnering directly with the mill we are able to offer some of the best pricing and stocks in Australia cutting out the middle man. For bulk quantities or shipping to a remote site, please contact us. We supply by the pallet load and ship to remote sites regularly. All stakes have square cut pointed ends with the benefit being that the shape of the point naturally drives into the ground a lot easier, particularly required with the hard ground in Open Cut Mines. With OH&S being so important on all exploration and mine sites we exert extra effort to ensure the stakes have a smooth finish to reduce or eliminate the risk of splinters and injuries to hands. Gloves are still always recommended as precaution. All stakes are bundled and sold in packs for easy transportation and manual handling. The stakes can be supplied as a plain stake or with a painted white top (nominally 300mm), which stands out and is visible as a survey marker when viewed at a distance, or for the mining machinery operators. The white paint also provides an excellent clear writing surface for any notes required. We stock a range of popular sizes, from the 1500mm right down to what is known in the industry as the 'dumpy peg', the 200x25x25mm or 300x25x25mm size stakes. Our top sellers however remain to be the 900x25x25mm and the 1200x25x25mm with painted white tops. Note: Hardwood Timber Survey Stakes are sometimes referred to as Tomato Stakes, Wooden Pegs, Dumpies, Dumpy Pegs, Timber Garden Stakes.
Our 30cm rulers are made from lightweight plastic, and don't have the sharp edges of their steel counterparts. Used by geologists, miners, surveyors architects, these premium rulers are triangular and allows up to 6 different scales to be viewed on each ruler. The ruler has been designed with grooves along the central line to allow easy holding whether you're in the office or out in the field. The model used by most geologists is the TRIR-04 Scale Rulers.

We supply a whole range of Stainless Steel Laboratory Test Sieves certified for use for high-precision, accurate sampling. These test sieves are manufactured to internationally recognised quality assurance standards. They are individually checked throughout manufacture either by optical projection or highly sophisticated computer scanning techniques and comply with ISO 3310. Each sieve is issued with a unique serial number and a certificate of compliance for full product traceability. Our manufacturers specialise in sieves of stainless steel frame and mesh construction that are inherently more robust, durable and corrosion-resistant than traditional brass sieves. Features: Sturdy rim - strong and easy to handle Exact frame - rugged and uniform with positive nesting Fillet - no sample is trapped between the mesh and the frame Ergonomically designed - no raw edges and comfortable to handle. Evenly tensioned mesh - precise and accurate results No cavities - totally sealed frame with no crevices to trap sample Precision mesh - high-tech optical equipment accurately measures apertures Fully traceable - individually numbered serial number High-quality stainless steel frame - minimal corrosion and long-lasting We have three manufacturers we distribute for, but due to their standards being the same, they will inter-stack and be almost identical. Our most common diameters of test sieves are the 200mm and 300mm. Please email customerservice@dynamicsgex.com.au for further enquiries.
These sieves are good quality 'field' sieves manufactured here in Australia. As the name suggests, the sieves are used mainly out in the field, constructed from an aluminum frame and galvanised steel mesh that come in 5 different sizes. Only the 0.4mm mesh is made of stainless steel due to the size of the mesh, therefore making this particular sieve more expensive. The sieves nest together into a stack for the grading of material samples. Sieves are generally used in conjunction with the aluminum scoops and aluminum receiver for sample retrieval and storage. Note: These are not the certified stainless steel test sieves like you see used in laboratories. These field sieves are used for general purpose sieving applications where the particle size of the sieved material is not critical. Size Specifications: Diameter: 330mm (13inch) Mesh Sizes: 0.4mm (40 Mesh), 0.9mm (20 Mesh), 2.8mm (7 Mesh), 5.0mm, 7.1mm These aluminum sieves can also be supplied with a separate aluminum receiving pan and lid.
The Flexistack Sieve provides an entirely new system of flexible screening, with excellent benefits for sizing and sampling. Multiple screening of a sample can be achieved in one operation, and multiple samples can be handled simultaneously. Drum-tight screens promote efficient screening, and meet the highest screening standards and cut screening costs. If the screen cloth is damaged, it is replaceable quickly and easily. The Flexistack rings hold two different size meshes of your choice. Nylon sieve mesh is cut to size and put between each component (not including the lid), and these are then pushed together. Although the sieves are sold as sets (containing a lid, two middle rings and a receiver), it is possible to add as many middle rings as you require to hold the number of sieve meshes you need. Using the Flexistack Sieve is more cost-effective than purchasing a new sieve for every mesh size you require. With Flexistack, you simply replace the mesh! These sieves would normally be used with nylon screen cloth, but will also accept polyester and polypropylene mesh. You can choose from a large range of synthetic mesh sizes, from 5 microns to 1000 microns (1 mm) aperture. You are able to use larger mesh cloth but you will need to retain it with the O-Ring. Features: Injection moulded for precise taut mesh fitting Easy to assemble and disassemble Easy to clean Lightweight and contamination-free Specifications: Body - high-impact polystyrene Size - 200 mm nominal diameter Weight - 690 grams per set
Used in conjunction with the Flexistack Sieve Sets, nylon sieve mesh gives you drum-tight screens that meet the highest screening standards. It promotes efficient screening and therefore cuts screening costs. If the screen cloth is damaged, it is replaceable quickly and easily. The Flexistack rings hold two different sizes of mesh of your choice. The nylon sieve mesh is cut to size and put between each component. We stock the 3 most common sizes for immediate dispatch: 100 Micron 177 Microns 200 Micron All other sizes are readily available within 1-3 days. Note: The mesh is supplied by the linear metre - that means there is no uniform width due to each manufactured roll of mesh being a different width. To illustrate, if you order 1m of 177micron mesh, you'll receive 1m in length x whatever the particular roll width is (nominally between 0.9 - 1.1m).
The 200mm-diameter vegetable (or vegie) sieve is a fine mesh sieve with a wooden handle, used to wash and sieve sample chips normally over a plastic bucket. They allow geologists to clearly identify the rock types when clean and washed. For those that want extra longevity out of the sieves, we'd recommend the Double Mesh Vegie Sieve. This has a reinforced layer of mesh around the outside supporting the standard single layer mesh, making the sieve more durable. Note: These are also referred to as field sieves, kitchen sieves or vegetable sieves.
A great sample analysis is closely linked to an accurate sample handling. Only a sample representative of the initial material can provide meaningful analysis results. Sample splitters ensure the representativeness of a sample and thus the reproducibility of the analysis. The sample splitters are ideal for on-site reduction of sample material. They are easy to use, easy to clean and do not need an electrical power supply. We manufacture all our Riffle Sample Splitters to order due to the huge variety in options and sizes. This ensures we can manufacture to your exact requirements and specifications. Most of our Sample Splitters are built from mild steel and manufactured here in Australia, but we can easily supply Stainless Steel Splitters upon request. Step 1 - Choose your size. Size 1 - 3-Tier Splitter which provides you a 12.5% / 87.5% Sample Split (12.5% will be your representative sample) Size 2 - 2-Tier Splitter which provides you a 25% / 75% Sample Split (25% will be your representative sample) Size 3 - 1-Tier Splitter which provides you a 50% / 50% Sample Split (50% will be your representative sample) Step 2 - Choose your accessories. Accessory 1 - Heavy Duty Pneumatic 10" Steel Rim Wheels (two required per splitter) Accessory 2 - Bash Plates (reinforced plate on the sides on the splitter for 'bashing' to assist lodged sample) Accessory 3 - Removable or Non-removable Chutes Step 3 - Choose spacing between the 'riffles'. Option 1 - 32mm Spacing Option 2 - 25mm Spacing Step 4 - Choose whether you're happy with the standard Mild Steel or would like to opt for the Stainless Steel version. We trust that provides you a clear picture of the myriads of options available but feel free to talk to the team with any questions you may have.

This Chip Tray Sample Storage System was designed as a permanent storage and library reference system for oilfield drilling samples from oil or gas exploration. This system overcomes several historical issues with oilfield drilling samples: The thin plastic and paper envelopes previously used were not transparent that made viewing samples difficult. They often split, got lost, or were too bulky for efficient storage that made past geological analysis difficult to access. The sample trays are manufactured in a durable plastic called GP Styrene, which has excellent clarity for microscopic examination, and the fluorescence in oilfield samples can be reliably seen under ultraviolet light. The trays are stackable, allow easy access, and will not deteriorate over long storage periods. The wooden sample storage boxes hold the sample trays securely, and are also stackable and durable. The storage system comes in two designs: A shallow 5-compartment tray - the plywood storage box fits 102 of these or 510 samples (sample size per tray 20-25 grams) A large 5-compartment tray - the plywood storage box fits 54 sample trays or 270 samples, and basically double the height of the shallow trays. The large tray holds approximately 50 grams per tray of washed and dried sample.
The Dyna-Store Chip Tray Racking System is a neat and practical storage solution for your chip samples, which works just like a filing cabinet. It's a great way to store your chip trays in an organised manner that will ensure that you can reach the tray you require easily with no need to move any other trays. Traditionally chip trays have been stored in so many ways, from being taped together on shelves to cardboard box storage, but we've wanted to provide a simple and easy solution to enable convenient access of chip samples in the long term. The racks can be easily used for transportation from the drill rig to the storage shed, with no need to reorganise before storing. We manufacture 2 types of chip tray storage system: The smaller 100-capacity design is ideal inside an exploration office for ease of access to current drilling records The versatile Dyna-Store style chip tray rack holds up to 340 of the 20 compartment chip trays, and is well-suited to long-term storage in a yard or core shed at the mine or exploration site The Dyna-Store is the only chip tray storage system that will maintain the safety and integrity of your chips. It's designed specifically to be lifted by forklift and the units can be stacked for minimum use of floor space. The double lockable doors provide security and the fully galvanised structure ensures the unit will last for years. Product Dimensions: CHIPRK - 405W x 1030H x 520Dmm - 18Kg DYNARKCT - 1360W x 1250H x 560Dmm - 134kg (1360mm is the physical rack width, while the bottom foot-to-foot width is 1440mm)
White, plastic mineral sands pan make it easier to see the black heavy mineral and therefore make for easier and more accurate estimation of grade in the field. Their material makes them lightweight and easier to pan as opposed to heavier metal pans. Their size is also suited to the ideal sample size when in the field.

PET Strapping is the way of the future we believe. Having gone through the evolution from Steel Strapping to PET in our own warehouse, we'd never go back to steel. The main aspects are that the PET is now just as strong as steel, think pallets of bricks, that have been using PET for years now. It's much more OH&S friendly considering it's lighter, doesn't have dangerous sharp edges that steel can have and overall it's far easier to use on the job when strapping pallets of core trays, or other goods with a single Automatic PET Strapping Tool. Due to it's light properties that don't compromise it's strength, you can fit far more strapping onto a roll meaning that it's considerable more cost effective to use than Steel Strapping and your roll lasts upto 4 times as long between changes. Finally the PET Strapping doesn't corrode and rust out, potentially damaging or contaminating the strapped goods. Join the many Mine Sites that the trend has shifted to in their love for this way of strapping goods. Automatic PET Strapping Tool 18V Outstanding reliability and top ergonomics. Smart, easy and fast operation. Excellent and consistent performance. Touch-screen user interface for easiest adjustment of parameters and tool status information for operator.
